Pascale Ciccarelli

Ottawa Dancer

From the very beginning, Pascale knew she belonged on stage. At the age of 5 years old, she stepped into her first dance class at Pascalina’s Dance Studio in Cornwall Ontario learning the basics of jazz, lyrical and street jazz as well as basic hiphop. Pascale then attended Studio C to further her learning in Jazz and a little of Tap in order to gain more technical training.

Her dance education continued in high school at l’École Secondaire Catholique La Citadelle where she learned from her teacher in dance class Latin dance styles such as the basics of ChaCha, Merengue and Salsa. At a new studio called Beat Central Dance Company, Pascale realized hip hop was the style she connected with the most until she learned contemporary and found a new love for the emotional side of dance.  She attended many competitions every year with her studio competing with solos, duos, trios, small groups and productions.

As well as competitions, Pascale has attended many dance conventions and workshops such as the Pulse on Tour that comes to Toronto every year. Pascale has taught dance for many years for all ages in both schools and dance studios and enjoyed seeing her students grasp the choreography she taught them as well as the joy they had while dancing. As hip hop and contemporary are Pascale’s favorite styles, she enjoys learning more about the different street styles as her involvement with Culture Shock Ottawa has allowed her to do so.
